On August 6, 2018, the American Bar Association (“ABA”) House of Delegates adopted Resolution 105 proposed by the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution. As explained in this CPR Speaks post written by CPR Intern Franco Gevaerd, the resolution urges international and domestic ADR providers to “expand their rosters with minorities, women, persons with disabilities, and persons of differing sexual orientations and gender identities” and to “encourage the selection of diverse neutrals.” The resolution also urges ADR users to select and use diverse neutrals.

The 2019 CPR Institute Y-ADR Writing Competition for Efficient and Effective Collaboration Between Corporate Counsel and Outside Counsel is now open to young lawyers. Submission deadline: Nov. 30, 2018. Learn more HERE

CPR Institute’s Awards Program honors outstanding scholarship and practical achievement in the field of alternative dispute resolution. Award criteria focuses on processes, techniques, systems, commitment, and scholarship which address the resolution, prevention or creative management of major disputes involving public or business institutions between corporations, between government and corporations, or among multiple parties. The review committee comprises judges and lawyers from leading corporations, top law firms and academic institutions across the U.S. LEARN MORE.
